Of course, Martha Wright's initial vision and ultimate follow-through gave birth to the realization of an incredible concept; her continued hard work, musicianship, and attention to detail have in some cases been the only elements to keep this concert alive--now in its fourth season. We've applauded the children who give of their time and talent and their parents for having the insight into life that provides these choir children the opportunity to do something extra-special.
Martha Wright holds roses presented to her at the end of the 2009 Crossroads Celebrity Concert.

These parents are wise enough to know that the potential full-ride scholarships that await many of these children, regardless of their chosen majors, is possibly the smallest benefit that these children take with them as a result of their participation in mtheir respective choirs--and as a result of the Crossroads Celebrity Concert life-changing experience.
Today we celebrate the dedicated directors, teachers, and individual members of support organizations that promote and make possible the caliber of child and youth choruses who meet time, generally in addition to regular school hours and into the sumer vacations. Though this celebration will focus on the directors of the individual choirs--each exceptional musicians themselves--it also includes all of their other associates who play support roles.
